Hopatcong, N. J., Feb. 17.- For several miles around the novthwestern part of Lake Hopatcong a fierce blizzard raged about 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon, sweeping before it. Seven men nearly met death by being blown 100 yards into the improvised canal, which is nearly a quarter of a mile long' and had beeu cut for the ice scowa.
