Upon the cali of Secretary Bennett, a goodly number of the Washtenaw (County Kepublican Committee assembied in this city last Friday, for the ■purpose of electin.? a chairman, eectetary and executive committeo. After considerable discussion Dr. W. B. Smith, of this city, was elected ehairman of the county committee, land Mr. E. F. Jolinsoii, ateo of this City, -was chosen to the position of 'secretary.
