New First Class Hotel Needed

Axn Arbor, MrcH., May 3, 1892. Ed. Courier.- "Arm Arbor needs a new first class hotel," said one of Washtenaw county's most lionored citizens. Is this not now more apparent than ever before,.since our city is becoming a place for many conventions. Besides the city is growing and othing so contributes to any city's rogress as a first class hotel. This should occupy a large open quare, or be so situated as to have onsideiable breathing space round it, with abundant piazzas nd verandas, and a large dining ïall where the University could ake its guests for the annual alumi dinner, and the society and poitical clubs could have their preads. We can boom Aun Ar)or as a summer resort, also, if we ïave hotel facilities. We have a own full of boarding houses which re ernply f rom July to October, nd by proper effort and advertisng, wilh a new hotel, we could fill 11 and make things lively the ear around. Let no one say it 'ill not pay, and that no one will uild it. Just advertise that we 'ant it,- keep this before the pubc constantly and ontside capital vill come in and build it as it did he water works and the street ailway.'
