Is It Green Goods?
Last week one of our citizens received a letter which amused him a considerable, and he lianded it to The Courier to Ilústrate the Bliek trapa set by cunning schemers to get mouey out of the unwary. We quote the letter in iull: Detroit, May 2d, 1892. Dear Pir:- I desire to propose a legitímate enterprise to you by which you can reallze a magniflcent fortune in a year'ss time. There is uo possibilïty of loss and the capital invested will remaln in your own hands. In order that I may be able to determine wuether or not you are the right party for me, you will kindly answer the following questions: How much cash capital could you command for temporary investment ? Do you sacredly promise that wheth er you engage in the business wlth me or not you will never reveal to any mortSl being, the proposition which I will make ? Later I will explain to you wliy I apply to you in this manner, and'l repeat that my enterprise is lawful. Very truly yours.
