The energetic and aithful trainicg of lts leader, Prof. Stanley, together with the painstaking efforte of the rnembers of the chorus, hiave brought out some of the most woaderful harmonies and dramatic effectg. Assisted by the three leadimg soluists of the coivntry, Jlrs. Ginrwa Johnstone-Iiishop, soprano; Mr. Chas. A. Knos, tenor; and Jlr. Hein r olí Mcyer, baritone, wtao take tlie leading -]i;u-.ictTs oí the Legend, and by ;V fuil orchestra, the chorus 'vviH without dojub, give i-ist to a musical ■vent surpassing any oí tlie season. The performance will be repeated at Detroit the followins evening for the benefit of the Woman's Gymnashim, a special train leaving here at 3.30 p. m. Kicker Kilg-ore, of Texas, in the house, last Friday, objected to au ;ippropriation for a statue of General Sherman, and the item had to be stricken out, as the presiding officer Herbert, of Alabama, sustained the objection.
