Regular meeting. Board met ainicl was called to order by Pres. KJeech. Roll called Full board uresent. Minutes of previous meeting read aaid approved. On notion of Mr. Keedii, the followinji report was a:ee])ted and submitted to the coanmom council for its conKiideratioii. To the Conimon Council: The Board of Public Works, to whom was referred by his honor, the Mayor, the present condition of First street, respectfully report that we tind that the Toledo, Aon Arbor and North Michigan Railroad Company are desirous of constructing, for the conveyance and accommodation of their patrons, a spur track along their property which frontson First street, and desire leave to cross First street along the west side of their main track, and also Williams street along First street inso doing, and we would respectfully recommend that said railway be granted sucli permission on certain conditions, as follows: lst. That the Toledo, Aun Arbor and North Michigan Railway Company do forthwith construct a plank sider walk along the east side of First street adjacent to all of their property, including their original riglit of way across First street. 2d. That they extend the culvert on First street westerly to tlie west line of First street, by 24-inch tile, to be laid doublé and side by side, and covering the same to grade of street. 3d. That the crossing of said spur track be at the present grade of said streets respectively, the city reservins to ltselt the right to cliange the grade of each of saiil streets, and the said Company to conform to such change by placing their said spur track at all times at established grade. 4th. That such spur track be laid wholly on Company ground and out of First street as elaimed by the City, and as lately surveyed by the City Engineer, except hére said spur track crosses said First street. 5th. That at crossing of both First and William streets, the company to construct plank crohsings, the full width of each street. 6th. That construction and extensión of culvert, the sidewalk and each road crossing be under the direction of and all work and material used, to be to the satisfaction of the Street Commissioner. 7th. And the said Board further reports that the saidKailway hasalready removed its track from and along b irst street to its own grounds within the time and as heretofore ordered by your honorable body, and to the estire satisfaction of this entire Board.
