The Ypsilanti correspondent of the Detroit Tribune has thia bit of society gossip that the young folks will be interested in without doubt: "Tuis is the time of the year that the town boys are figuring to attend the society [Normal] meetings. ITp to three years ago tlie meetings were public to iill but for the last three years each meinber has been given membership tickets for admission and also two tickets for visitors. The town boys lay this ticket arrangement to jealuusy among the Normal boys, who dislike to see tlie town boys escort home the belles among tlie lady students and leave them out in the cold. Just the same every year the town boys win out the prettiest girls. The popular student 'iris who win the admiratiou of the town boys generally enter into Ypsilanti society. Every year just about so many town boys keep company with Normal girls, while the Ypsilanti girls, not to be out done by the boys, "fall in ine," as raight be said, with University students at Ann Arbor, and so it goes."
