It -will be noticed thiat a large numDer of omr wealtlry citizens pay a great deal less tax than last year, while every one who is assessed upon real estáte alone, pays more. This tó made neeessary :by the change in tlhe law, made by the last squawbuc-k legiislature. Every house holder pays more taxes, ■w'hila the man who holds the mort gage on the house esiapes entirely.
