Parents cannot name thoir children just what they picase in Germany. By imperial order govecninent functionaries are forbidden hencef orth to register any infant in a Christian name bsaring the slightest relation to politics. Soeialists are very fond of calling their children Kobespierre, Lassalle, Bebel, Liebknect and the like, but Emperor William objects to the practice. So the child's name must be chosen from the Bible, the calendar of saints, or from the roll of priuccs and national herow.
