At t lie regular meeting of Wek-h Post, held ou Jan. ii. a committee of three were appoiiiteil to draw up resolutions, and submit the same on the Budden death of comrade W. Fred Schlanderer. The following were subrnitted : Whf.rkas, It has seemed bestby the All-wise Rölerof the unlvene, to remove from among U8, our ('omrade in arms, aa well as in peace, W. Fred Schlanderer; therefore, be it Resolved, Thut we, who have beeu a&sociated and lntimately acquaiuted with the deceased for the past quarter of a centurv, can testify to his worth a3 a defender of our rfag; to his kindnesa of heart and liberality to those whom he thought deserving; and his general good fellowship toward all with whom he carne in contact; and he it futher Resolved, That we, as.a Post, adopt the usual emblem of mourning for the next thirty days out of respect to the mamory of our deceauêd Comrade, and be it also Resolved, That we tender our sincere sympnthy to the l'amily and relatives of the departed, in this their hourof bereavement ; that a copy of these resolutions be furniahed the city papers for publication; and that a copy be forwarded to tne wife of said deceased.
