Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved. Sidéwalk Inspector Sutherland j ported that lie liad personally inspected the sidewalks wbicb had not as yet been constructed, on the south side of East University avenue, in front of the property of A. L. Noble, John 1?. M-iner, and Fred C. Brown; on the south side of Volland street, in front of the following property, Charles J. Schmidt, Mis. Clarissa Johnston, Mis lVtcrLang, Mis. Olivia 1!. Hall, A .1. Kitson, Henry Kenney, Mis. L. J. Johnson, and Mis. Jane Ottley; on the west side of Ashley street in front oi' the property of Philip Vriesel; on the north side of Geddes avenue ín front of the property of Frederick climjd, Emma James, Francés St. Johns, Catlierine Parsons and C. H. Kenney; and tliat such sidewalks ought to be built without delay. Mr. Keech moved that the report be received and liied, and the street commissioner is hereby ordered to take the necessary steps to build all '■ walks so reported not built to this I Board, also on W. lluron street, north and soutli sides. Yeas - Messrs. Keech, Schuh and Mclntyre. The clerk was directed to notify the sewer coininittee to be pvesent at the meetings 01 uie Jsoard ot i'ublic Works. II. T. Morton, Secretary of the Ann Arbor Street Railway Co., asked to have several crossing flxed so that they c;m use scrapeis on their tracks. D Keferred to Mr. Schuil and stieet commissioner. A conimunication fiom the Ann Arbor Gas Co. was read notifying the Board of Public Works and the street commissioner that it claimed title to street running from Depot to Suinniit streets, between Fifth avenue and Beakes street. and would liold tlie board and street commissioners responfible for any danmge done to the alley. On rnotion the Street Commissioner wasordered to consult with the city attorney and act andet tris direction?. On motion of Mr. Keech, the Clerk was directed to ask for prices on one and a half ton pig lead. On motion the Board adiourned.
