May Musical Festival tobegiven by the Grand Chorufl oí t he üniverslty Musical Society of the Uníversltyol Michigan, at Arm Arbor, on May 18th and r.'ili, will be one of the greatest musical events In the history of the State. The Chora! Union Serlos gi ven each year is reí;o#nized as one of the most important concert serles in the West. This Festival may be but the beginning of a series of such events. aiui is thus of more than ordinary interest. University Hall seats :iöO0 and as Ann Arbor is at lts best at this time of the year this occasion offers a fine opportunity for enjoylng a magnlficent series of concerta and visiting the University. There will be an informal reception ín the new Waterman Gymnasium after the concert Fritlay evening, to which all are invited. In order that the importance of this Festival may be thoroiiffhly apprehended we give a list of the artista and orranlzations taking part in the concerts: sopranos, Miss Emina .Inch. Miss Iïose S te wart; contralto. Miss Gertrude May Stein; tenor. Mr. E. 0. Towne; baritone, Mr. Max Helnrieh; pianist. Mr. Arthur Frledhelm; harp. Mr. V. V. Rogers; vlolln. Mr. Felix Winternitz; cello. Mr. Fritz Giese; (Jlioral Union, 28J voices; Boston Festival Orchestr 50 pleces, Emil Mollenhauer and Albert A. Stanley onductors, Concerts, Friday evening at 8, Saturday afternoon at 2:30. Saturday evenlng at 7;80. Season tickets, admitting to all performances, three concerts, 92.99, single tickets, 81.00. Season tickets on sale. All orders for tickets by mail. expresa or telegraph, will recelve prompt attentlon lf addressed to A. A. Stanley, Ann Arbor, Mich. Arrangements will be made to run excursión tralnsto this city during the Festival as follows: The Kailway Association of Michigan throtigh the Secretary anti Treasurer, D. Edwards. agrees that tickets will be sold May 17th, I8th and 19th at one and one-third fare for the round trip, and madegood to return May 2uth, from potnts not to exceed 50 miles from Ann Arbor.
