One candidato described "primogeniturd" as a plant which bears only one flower; another derived "equinox" from "equa," a mare, and "nox," night, its being a "nightmare;" ivhile a third, in a paper on the characterof Ilenry VIL, wrote: "Catherine l'arr, who survived the king-, was , g'oing to be beheaded, but he died tho tlay before he signed the warrant." -
