Au Oklahoma merchant carelessly allowed a few castor beans to get mixed with his oats. He probably thought nothing of it at the time, and sold the oats to a stablekeeper. Several of the horses to which the grain was fed sickened and died. Veterinary surgeons said it was the result of eating the castor beans. The stablekeeper sued for damages and the careless grain dealer was compelled, by order of the court, to pay five hundred and fifty dollars.
