The commercial possibilities of lighting are not.often reckoned, but tliey j wül be discussed, it is said, ia the July Harper's Magazine, in a popular article called "The Storage Battery of the Air." The writer is Mr. Alexander McAdie of tlie United States Weatker Bureau at Washington. Kites so lieavy tliat a gale of wind is required to raise them, aad which wdiea raised, vrül draw a train of cars- kitcs forty-five feet in. length.- Japenese fighting kites- are deseribed in Harper's Xoung Peopte this week.
