The decisión was by such ; decided majority that there could be no . ing ii. At ihe congressional convention which is tn meet to-inorrow at Adrián, Washtenaw eount)r will cast twenty-one votes solidly for Mr. Sawyer, and continue to do so as long as there is any hope for his nomination. Mr. Sawyer would make au aljle 1 resentative in eongress, one that would command attentionr, and be prominent ín in the start, for he is a man of brains and learning, and one wlio bas the faeulty il' inastering.wbatever he miderHe would honor lilis disirirt. He would work for its interestB, and for the interests of the great republican party, and work in such a v.ay that it would be feit. With Mr. Sawyer in congress the greateet uiifversity ciiy in the aation would have a representative who would properly represent it. Sliould lie be the choice of the convention at Adrián to-morröw, lie would be found in the campaign an active worker and invetérate hustler for the ticket and his party.
