The convention which nominated Jlaikworth, the bitter aseailant of Cleveland and coligiese, indorssd the "wisp, económica!, patrlotic, and statesmanlike adminietratlon of Grover Cleveland ; denouuced the action of the republican senators who, aided by a few alleged demócrata, defeatcd tlie will of the pcople as recorded in the elections of 18'JO tiud 18i)l," and ta fied Gorman whom they woul3n't renominate, for liis "faithmlness, h:s untiring industry, and the veluable character of the services rcndered by liim in sustaining democratie principies, in steadfastly laboring to embody them in legislation, in hjB unswerving loyalty to our ]M-cs:dent in liis admdnlstration oí the affairs of that exalted office, and in liis uncompromising loyalty to our party."
