Our County Fair

The managers of the 'Waslitenaw County Fair are making a great hustle, and the people all about us, from "Wayne to Grass Iake, from Clinton to Nortlrville, irom Manchester to Salem, (rom Oakville to Pinokney, and so on indefinitely, for a radius of fifty miles or more, are preparing to take advantage of the half-iare rates on the railroads and attend. The entries will no doubt be far in excess of any that have been made for years. There are good reasons Ono is that there was no county fair last year, so people have got reeted np a little, and again the 1 1mes are hard, and anyone who has anyUiing nice to display will surely be on hand wlth it to take the premiums oifered. Then again the attractions offered are more than ordinary. Tlie Wild "West Show will draw crowds of people who do not care to see the big pumpkins, the huge squash, the abnormal cabbage heads, etc, while the races will be away ahead of past years. The Fair commences next Tuesday the 25th, and lasts through Friday the 28th. All the accompaniaments and adjuncts of a great fair will be on hand. There are many extra premiums offered by business men of Ithe city, and these wiil induce an extra display. Everybody who comes will be pleased. - Tío one will be eent away disappointed. Come to the fair, and bring the family. The children will be more benefited than you yourself, for there is where they will see and compare their own efforts with others. It is an educator of itself.
