Coointy Clerk Brown introduced a friend of his whom he had picked up on the Street, to the Board of Supervisors yesterday. His name was Ansbach. He presented his card to Chairman Young, and then proceeded to help himself to a card or two out of said chairman's pockets, and to the surprise of uveryone present, each card found therein had a black or red spot on it and were called by those who pretended to know, "spades," "clubs," "hearts," and "diamonds." The laugh was on the chaixman, sure. Mr. Ansbach then proceeded to do many wonderful slight of hand performances that mystified the members oï this a-ugust body in a way that was astonishmg. Then again the chairman didn't cali the gentlemaji to order while performing his tricks which were entirely out of order, as there was no question bef ore the h ouse. This wonderful prestidgitator demoastrated the fact that Supervisor John R. Miner was not accurate as a mathematician, and that, if nothing more, was certainly -u-orth the time taken in making the demonstratéon. Mr. Ansbach is to give a parlor entertainment at the School of Husic Hall,'Tliursday evening, and he is a good one.
