The S. L. A. Course. The Students' Lecture Association this year offers a brilliant list of speakers, as the following list shows for itself : Hou. Thos. B. Reed, Oct. 17; J. B. Gorüon. Nov. 16; R-obea-t J. Burdette, Dec. 7 ; Murat Halstead, Dec. 15 ; Ex-Gov. Win. E. Russell, Jan. 18 ; Pres. Talmage, Feb 8 ; U. of M. Oratoricál contest, Mar. 15 ; Lotus Glee Club with Prof. Clarke, impersonator, Mar. 22. John W. Daniel, April 5 ; Ex-Pres. Harrison, open date. It is difficult to say much about this list it is so good. Among them all ex-Pres. Harrison will alone be worth the pi-ice of the whole course. There wlll be the tanie prices and arrangements for reserving seats as last year : viz., $2 for the course, 50 cents single admission and 50 cents extra ior reserred season seats. Each altérnate roiv -vill be reservecl. Since the above was wrltten, we learn tliat single adiuission to lleed's lecture to-morrow night will be 75 cents, aiul to ex-President Hnrrison's, $1. Walker & Co., the carriagc manufacturera of W. Liberty st., are preparing for a severe winter. Tliey are finishing a lot of cutters and therefore are earnestly wishing ior snow. 'They are a new milk wagon for Herman Ryer, and a laundry wagon for the Allniendinger sisters.
