Office or tuk Board of Public Works, [ Ank Ahboh, Oct. 10, 18ÍI4. i Regular Bession. Called to order by President Clark. Roll called. Present. Messrs. Clark and Bullis. Absent, Mr. Schub. The minutes of the last regular and several special meetings were read and approved. . William Wenger appeared before the Board, and asked the Board to have walk between his property and Miller avenue built on the west side of Gott street, which had heretofore been ordered built by this Board. Mr. Bullis moved that this matter as to the owner of this strip of land between Mr. Wengei's property and Miller avenue, on the west side of Gott street, be referred to the City Attorney, for a report. Adopted as follows: Yeas- Messrs. Clark and Bullis. Mr. Clark and the Street Commissioner reponed that they have exarnined and inspected the sidewalks of Mrs Neble and John Pfisterer, on Kingsley St., which was referred to them on Sept. 12th; they flnd the present walk in such condition that it is neeessary for the construction of a new walk at once. Mr. Bullis moved -that the starting oint of lateral sewer in District Xo. . be at the man-hole on West Liberty reet, west of the Toledo, Ann Arbor North Michigan Railway's tracks, jence running in a straight line lo a oint in the established line of the ewer, 100 i'eet easterly from the eener of First street. Adopted as follows: Yeas- Messrs. Clark, and Bullis. 'o tlie Board of Public Works: I have computed the amount of earth to be removed on E. Washington, east of Twelfth street and flnd that there is 1,440 cubic yards, and considering that the distance to move the same is short, that $90.00 is a suffloient appropriation to cover the cost of the same. Giso. F. Key, City Engineer. To the Board of Public Works: I find that the amount of earth required to flll the east side of E. University Avenue, from Packard street to Prospect, to be 1,700 cubic yards, the expense of excavating the same will need an appropriation of $340. Geo. F. Kby, City Engineer. Mr. Bullís moved that the estimates made by City Engineer Key be reportd to tha Common Council. Adopted as follows: Yeas- Messrs. Clark and Bullís. The Sidewalk Inspector reported that he liad personally inspected the sidewalka which had not as yet been constructed: On Catherine street, in front of the propertyof Mrs. Catlierine Nable, and Mrs. Burns, (W. W. Whedon, agent); on Fifth Avenue, in front of the property of Mrs. C. C. Warner; on Ingalls street, in front of the Sigma Phi Fraternity; on E. Ann street, on and along the property of W. II. Payne's; on Liberty street in front of Mrs. Miller's, Mis. Kuhn's and the Hoñ'stetter Estáte. On motion the report was received and ordered flled, and the Street Commissioner was ordered to ask for sealed ;enders to build said walks. Mr, Bullis moved that the Street Commissioner is hereby directed to at once carry out the wishes of the Commou Council as to notifying and requiring putting the Ann Arbor Street Railway roadway between its tracks iu good repair. Adopted as follows: Yeas- Messrs. Clark, and Bullis. On motion the board adjourned.
