E. P. Cook, the liverymiun, has rented the IUnk, a,nd will open therein that almost every city in the east has got, and what this city greatly needs, a Farmer's Market. He will hare the arrainged so tliat farmers eau drive ii wlth their loods of potatoes, apples, fruit, garden or farm produce, and have st.ills arranged therein for their use. Tliis market, when it gets to be establislied, will be greatly appreciatcd, not only by thO people who have produce to sell, but quite as mucli by those who ha- to buy, and will become, we hare not the faintest doubt, a -very popular affair. It has beeu a wonder to eastern people visiting our city, that no jsuch market has ever been established here, and iit is beüeved tliat in Ann Arbor, of all other places, wliere there is such a demand for that the farmer and gardened raises, this ,sort of a general headquarters, wliere the liead oí the household affaire can go and buy what be or slie wants Jresh from first hands, will become oee of thO good features of the city. Mr. Cook sliould be encouraged in every way posslble by our citizetis in thJs enterprise, which will not only be a benefit to hooisekeepers but to retail dealers as well, for it will furnish. a place for them to supply their stores wit-h such produce as itluey may need, without all over the country.
