Newbérry hall was coinfortably filled yesterday aftemoon with an audience composed almost exclusively of ivomen mxious to pay the last tribute of respect and love to the memory of Mrs. Sarah Gayley-Brown. The exereises were very interesting. Mrs. II. S. Carhart read an interesting biography of Mrs. Gayley-Brown. Mrs. Jennie Cheever ead several letters from young college women who had come into contact with the life of the deceased friend of college 'iris. Mrs. Barnard read a paper relatng to Mrs. Brown's influence on college iris. Mrs. A. C. McLaughlin read a etter from Mrs. J. B. Angelí comnientng upon the beautiful Christian cliaracter of the woman. Several of Mis. Gayley-Brown 's favorite songs were ung, among them "The Star of Other )ays," written by her son, Prof. Chas. I. Gayley.
