No papér but the Adrián Press would be guilty of the following: Not long ago, the professors of the Aun Arbor high school suspended eight or ten pupils f rom membership in a Greek Letter society, a secre't organization, the pupils having previously refused to sign a paper agreeing to no longer be affiliated with the societies. It is well knowu that in colleges and schools, there are societies, named afterv letters of the Greek alphabet, such as Alpha Nu, PM Delta Phi, Chee Zit, Sigma Phi, Kappa Gamma, Beta Pflush, Psi Epsilon, Alpha ïau Omega, Ipsil Ante, etc. The arbitrary order of the faculty aroused the dander of the parents and the school board had to cali a session, in whicli pupils, parents, and professors participated. It was found that there was a rule adopted years ago by the school board, providing for expulsion of students belonging to the secret societies. Prof. Pattengill said the rule was right, and he lived up to it, and fired out all whom he knew to have violated it. The board proceeded to revoke its rule, which wouldn't have stood law any way, the faculty Beta retreat, and the suspended students, with their secrets, and Greek roots were restored to their places. But they will have to be up in G, in their studies froin this time on, or the faculty will "Psi" them later, when it comes to diplomas.
