Saturday Evening's Meeting Brought Out A Hundred Men

Tliere was an enthusiastic meeting o the candidates for tlie 'varsity track team in room 24 of the main building last Saturday evening. Over one hun dred men took interest enough in the matter to turn out. The men were ad dressed by Oapt. LeRoy and Trainer Fitzpatrick, each of whom spoke of the plans for the spring training which is now on. Manager Baird and Capt Shields also spoke enthusiastically of the prospects for next spring's team The team will be sent to the intercollegiate gaines in Chicago, possibly to a meeting with the University of California, and if any man shows likelihood of winning a point, he will be sent to the inter-collegiate contest in New York. In the training the men will be divided into squads accovding to the events. During the month of March all candidates except broad jumpers and hammer tlirowers will be required to come out three times a week. Out-door work will begin April 1, weather permitting.
