Alter a long and' serio us illness, death came to Amaaida Thompson,. Yi'ifti oí Noah G. Butts, Esq., of No. 1 Yolland st., at about 5 o'clock a. m. Shudny Mareh. 10. Mrs. Butts lea ves a husband and one son, Prof. Win. H. Butts, principal oí the Michigan Military Academy, at Orcliai-d Lake. The deceased was a nativo of New Yoik, haring been born at Cazenovia. in Uiat state, Marcïi Gth, 1S29. Sho eanfe to Mioliian in 1S75, the family taking up tlioir residencc in Aan Arbor to edúcate their son. Sinco re.siilijig liero Mrs. Butts has made a lnrge circle of iriends. Sho was a coinmunicant of St. Andrews Episcopal cliurch, and had eugaged in charitable work to a considerable extent. lt is said that therO Avas hardly íx poor family in the city but knew and loved lier. ïliie iuneral services will be conducted by the Kév.' Henry Tatlock, at thé family residence, on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
