At the Union meeting of Young People's Societiea held at the M. E. hurch last eveniug, Mr. Bartlett for the Epworth League of the M. E. church, poke of "Spiritual Work," as did also Air. Thomas, for the ChristianEndeavor Society of the Presbyterian church, Mr. Kimes for the C. E. of the Disciple's hurch spoke of "TheRelation of Young People to the Church." Miss Hoffsteter for the C. E. of the Bethlehem hurch gave a fine paper on "Missionary Vork," one of the best of the evening. Miss ïlattie Crippin for the E. !., told of "The Work of the Social Comuiittee," ind Miss Kate Warner for the same ociety liad for her subject the '-Junior Work of the League." Miss Trueblood, of the Congregational church spoke of Trué Citizenship," and Prof. D. W. Springer of the M. E. church followed on the sanie subject. Miss Addie Steens i'or the E. L., spoke on "Mercy and Help, our work among the Young People." J. H. Van Tassell, of the E. L. spoke of the "Relation of the oilicers o the young people's society." The neeting closed on time. Each speaker was allowed three minítesaud each one carne within the alottedtimo with a little to spare. There was a good attendance, and the occasion was very enjoyable.
