Heiiry Beichmann, manager of the "West Publishing Co., of Detroit, was held up last Saturday night, a few miles out on the Saline road, by three highwaymen. AVliile leisurely jogging along, liis horse was cuddenly caught by the bridle by one man, a revolver was poked in his face by a second, while the third man went tlirough his overcoat pockets with more baste than care, taking there. from $17.50 in cash, and tearing the overcoat badly. His horse was then released, the revolver dissappeared and he was allowed to continue on liis way to the city. He carne straight to Sheriff Juilson and informed him of the matter, the sheriff starting at once to intercept the robbers. Mr. Reichmann had been out all day collecting for his publishingcompany on account of a county directory. The robbers were evidently aware of his iinancial doings, and had deliberately arranged the plan. Sheriff Judson reported this morniiii: that the offenders were yet uncaught but that he was still after thein.
