The base ball team played in Detroit Saturday with the Detroit league team. From there the team, twelve strong, in charge of Manager Weeks, will leave on the southern trip. All the men are in prime conditiou except Lee, who has a bad ankle, which was sprained some time ago. The men who are to go on the trip are as follows : Sextoii, Watkins, Gallop and Miller; pitchers ; Holmes and Condón, catchers ; McKenzie, flrst base; Lee or Butler, second base ; Deans, third base; Russell, short stop; Bloomingston, lef field; Sbields, center field ; one of the substitute pitchers right field. Besides these men Butler and St. Clair accompanied the team to Detroit today. The southern trip will last one week, during which the followiug teams will bemet: Dennison, atGranville, Ohio, Monday, April 15 ; Kenyon college, at Grambier, Ohio, Tuesday, April 1G; ühio State University, at Columbus, Ohio, Wednesday, April 17 ; Depauw University, at Greencastle, Ind., Thursday April 18; Wabash college, at Crawfordsville, Ind., Friday, April 19; University of Illinois, at Champaign, 111., Saturday, April 20; Notre Dame, at Notre Dame, UI., Monday, April 22.
