Dean Knowlton, of the law department, appeared before the senior class tliis morning, just before Judge Champlin's lecture, and made several important announcements. He stated that Hon. Edwin F. Ulil, first assistant secretary of state, had been secured to deliver the commencement week address to the graduating law class. Dean Knowlton also announced that a lecture vvould be delivered by Judge Cooley in University hall, at 4 o'clock to-morrow afternoon. Judge Cooley will take as his subject, "The Webster1 1 ayne Debate on the Subject of ISTullincation." There are special reasons why Judge Cooley desires to discuss this question at the present time, and these reasons will be brought out in the address to be given to-morrow afternoon.
