Dr. E. R. Eggleston, of the homeopathie school, is out in au open letter to the homeopaths of the state, calling their attention to what has been acconipliehed. He says : To the Homeopathie Profession of Michigan At last the Homeopathie Medical College of tue University ofMichigan is free. At the last meeting of the Board of Hegents, April 17c.li, u pon a proper and reasonable presentation of the matter, they fully and froely grauted its independeuce, in the same sense and to the saine extentthat the uw department ís independent of its associated departmeiHs. This was done by amendment of the resolutions of 1875, upon which the college wasadmitted, so tliat the college vrill lierealter be governed by regulations distinctly its own. In additiou to thls, and in order tliat the school shall occupy an entlrely untrammeled position, a new standing committee was organized, consisting of Regents Cook, Fletcher, Dean and Hebard. wlio will have entire charge of the affairs of tbis department. ïhus at one sweep all causes for dlssatisfaction and fear of domination and unfavorable discrimination disappears at once and lörever. All honor to the regents who nnhesitatingly placed theinselves on record on the side of justice! It isagreat vlctory ! And now what sliall we do wiih it? There is but one thlng to do. and that is to promptly and unanimonsly accept the uew ordtr of things and give it uudivided support, which will inevltably result lnan era of unprecedentedsuccess.
