Just as the stamp seller turned wait on the patiënt waiter a lady came up to the window as il' in luiste, and our official very politëly stepped back to to allow her pieference at the window, forgettiug all about his dollar, etc. ïhe lady niompolized the window while buying a stamp, and when the polite gentleman, who so graciously gave way ïis opportunity, came back he found lis letters and lus postáis all right, but 10 dollar. It had vanished. So had the lady, and he surmises hat the two went together.
