The Aun Arbor Democrat had an editorial in its last issue calling attention to a typographical error whieh appeared in a recent nuniber of the Daily Courier made by the compositor and overlooked by the proof reader. As has been heretofore stated the Courier is uot infallible, and is Hable to make mistakes. The following is taken from the same issue of the Democrat that essays to criticise its ueighbor: "It is the exception to see a man largely under the influence pf liquor on our streets but a few days ago Dar Man saw a sad sight. A well dressed young man was seen upon one of the streets in the eastern part of town badly intoxicated. He had hold of a tree and get nofurther, so there he stood looking and acting like an imbecile. Finally two (two what?) carne aloug who seemedto know him and one get on either side and led him off, presumably to his house, (rich young man, probably) Our Man tliought if tliis young man is taken to his mother in such a cotulition, how her heart will bleed." The italics were not usedby the Democrat. It is presuined that this is a specimen of the correct English lanyuage that it is desirable to have the Courier adopt. How is it?
