The next Animal Meeting of the natonal Educational Association will be ïeld in Denver, Colorado, July 5 to 12. W have just received from the Committee of Arrangements for Michigan, pretty little folder giving a report of ailroad route selected, the accomnodations said road offers its patrons nd several other matters of interest to hose coutemplating the trip. A large umber of our local teachers are talkiug f taking the opportunity of visiting Colorado and the great West andXorthvest. To such the following extracts rom the report of the coinmittee will be f great interest. Superintendent W. . Perry, of this city is chairrnan of the ommittee, W. A Greeson, of Grand Rapids, and State Supt. H. E. Pattenill, being the other two members. The committee, after careful investiation, have selected the Chicago, L'non Pacific and Xorth-Western Line, as he official route for the State of Michian from Chicago to Denver. For this ccasion the Chicago, Xorth-Westeru Railway will, on July 4, 5 and (, sell xcursion tickets from Chicago to Dener, Pueblo, Colorado Sprints and Mantou, at a rate not to exceed one fare for he round trip (with i-.'.OO added for nembership fee). The round trip rate rom Chicago will not be higlier than 31.50, ineluding membership fee. The committee bas also been advised bat from pbints in Michigan tickets A-ill be sold July 3, 4 and 5 at a rate not o exceed one fare for the rouud trip to Chicago. From a number of places in he Sítate the rate will be even more avorable. Arrangements have been nade so that under certain conditions he return trip can be made at any time prior to Sept. 1 , thus affording an excellent opportunity for a summer soourn in the Rockies, or trips to Salt ake, the Black Hills, Yellowstone National Park, or the Pacific Coast. The train service over the Chicago, Union Pacific and North-Western Line is of the very finest. The "Denver Limited" leaves Chicago every night at 10:30 p. m. arriving in Denver the sec ond morning in time for breakfast. This is a solid vestibuled, gaslighted train with Palace Sleeping Cars, Free Reclining Chair Cars, Dining Cars, and at the time of the meeting Tourist Sleeping cars will be added. Sleeping car rates are from $2.50 to $0.00 from Chicago to Denver. In the Dining Car meals will be served "a la Carte." Under this plan either a light lunch or a complete meal can be ordered at a very reasonable price. The selection of Denver as the next meeting place seems to have been a most happy one, for, aside from tlie manifold attractions of the beautiful scenery itself, it is so situated that the grand scenery aud numerous health and pleasure resorts of Colorado and Utah jncluding Colorado Springs, Manitou, Estea Park, (jlenwood Springs, Pikes Peak, The Loop, Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge, Tottec Gorge, Salt Lake, Ogden and many others, are all within easy reach and can be visited at a reaaonable expense. Special side trips have been arranged for at very low rates. Yellowstone Park, Black Hills and the Pacific Coast can also be reached at special cheap rates. In Denver the committee have selected Broadway Hotel as headquarters for the Michigan delegation. The rates at this hotel are $1.50 per day for board and room. The hotel is convenieut to tlie hall where the meetings of the Associatiou are to be held. The rates allowed are available for anyone desiring to make this trip at the time of the meeting, whether they are teachers or not.
