Postinaster Beakes has figured out that during the month of June the receipts at the post office were $2,230.14, against $2,769.27 for May, and $3,363.47 for March. This shows how the hot weathe'r, and the closing of schools effect Uncle Sam's business here. During June there were 66,374 two cent stampa sold, and during May 77,581. This would indícate quite a lively correspondence between our people and the people of other places. Every month this year, so far, has shown an increase over corresponding month of last year, the increase for June being by far the lightest, the figures amounting to only $77. The total business of the office indicates a constant growth in the city. There is no doubt but that the population of Ann Arbor, as well as the number of students, are increasing constantly. Every thing indicates that fact.
