Andrew Hiller, an oíd Germán carpenter, living alone in a little hovel at 53 S. Seventh St., committed suicide yesterday evening at about 4 o'clock. At two o'clock he was at the Lome of liis son-in-law and was then considerably ünder the influence of liquor. From there he went home. At about four o'clock he was noticed by a neighbor lady laying on his face before his house. She went for help and then it was discovered that he was dead. Coroner Ball was sent for and he found that the old man had committed suicide. Beneath hhn laya little Dauntless 22 calibre revolver and asmall hole just over the right car told the rest. Sitting before his door he had eyidently placed the little revolver against his head and pulled the triftger, dyiug instantly. No cause for the deed has vet been aasigned. Hiller was a hard drinker and several persous have heard him when in hia cups threaten to take his own Ufe. It is supppaed that the deed was "committed while he was crazed with drink, or hi a fit of despondency because of drink. At 9 o'clock this morning Coroner Ball impanelled the followiïig jury: J. D. Kyan, M. J. Lehman, Wm.Sturgeon, Frank Legg, Trueman Waterman and P. J. Lehman. Severaal examinations wera made, hut little information elicited. There were no witnesses to the dee. 1. It was fiuully detenuined to render a verdict of "accidental suicide" and fliis was done.
