The foílowing from a recent issue of the Bay City Ïimes-Press, speaks volumes in praise of the new professor in the Homeopathie department : A very pleasant event took place at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Rosenbury, on Woodside Ave., last night. A farewell reception to Dr. and -Mrs. R. S. Copelaiul was given by the members of the Madison ave., M. E. Church, and they were present in suchnumbers as to fairly overflow the spacious and elegant where it was held. The departing couple were so loaded with regrets that if they ever cared for their friends in Bay City, they must have been sorry they were going away. After music by the Mann family Dr. Copeland was ördèred to the front and Devere Hall made a very happy presentation speech, alluding to the fact that Dr. Copeland was about to go to Ann Arbor to take a positino in the faculty of the University where hut five or six years ago he was a student; also that he was probably the youngest man wlio ever held the position. He waS told that his residence in this city for five years had been very pleasant for those with whom he had associated, and they parted with him with regret. Yet they were pleased with the record he had made, and gratitied with his success, and wouldwatch i his future course with great interest. As a token of the love aud esteem of ■ who were present and those who conld not be there, and as a reminder "of the scènes amorig which he begun his professional carecí-, -Mr. Hall presented Dr. Copelaiul with a handsome watch and chain. The cases are heavy and ornamentation highly artistic. The Doctor was a good deal embarassed, but managed to make a clever and happy reply. Refreshments were served and all gave Mr. and Mrs. Copeland a parting galute.
