Anotlier star, the forty-fifth, is going to be added to tlie ffug. The new star will represent Utah, and the order for its addition to the national colors was issued by Secretary Lamont recently. The star will be placed to the right of the fourth row from the top. Tlie order for the addition of the star is accompanied by one chann;ing the size of the colors. Heretofóre tlie standard has heensixfeetby flve. The new order makes the regulation size flve feet ix inciies by four feetfour inches. The order provides for the new colors to be issued to all inlantry, artillery, and and the battalions of engineers, andalso for new standards for all cávalry. new fiags will bevery handsome. They o be made of the finest American silk, and their oost will be quite considerable. Utah will not attain statehood until the fourth day.of next July, hut all the üags hereafter contracted for and issued will contain tlie star heraldlng the admission of that territory into the union states.
