About two months ago Mrs. ühurch purchased a rustic center stand, licely trimmed and varnished, that she placed in her room, and recently she aoticed that sprouts had started from .he stand legs, whicb are row about :hree or four inches in length. Mrs. Church has placed each leg of the stand .n saucers of water, and will keep the ;uriosity as long as possible.
