Polk St., CnicAao, Oct. 27, I88S, The O-wen Electric Belt and Appliaxce Co.: Gentlemen- Solely in the interest of olhcrs who are, ir may become similarly offecieci with myself, I venture to offer my experienee with the use of the Owen Electric Bolt, a::d that I am actuated entirely by that motive, myist bo apparent from the fact that until you cèe my name and addreas recorded on this letter you had no knowledge of either. I had long been a Bufferer from chronic dyspepsia and norvous prostration, contracted or aggravated by many yeara residence In the East Indies. About farce years ago I purchased oneof yourBeltsin the hope that lts use might afford me Borne relief, and -wore lt continuously as directed for about four hours every afternoon for a month or bo, and the result wac perfectly marvelous. My indigestión with all lts attendant miseries, nervousness, depression, irritability and insomnia, from whlch latter I was a great sufferer, havo disappeared. I then discontinued the use of the Belt (the existenoe of which I had indeed forgotten), until about eix weeks ago, when a recurrence of my old trouble very forcibly reminded me of it. I again put it into wear (after ceasing its use for over one and one-half years), and with the same extraordinary n being again restored to health, strength and vigor, after wearing it for only ten days. ündex these circumstances I can most emphatically recommend to others suffering f rom the aumento which I have endeavored to describe, tho üiloption of the use of the On-en Electric Eelt. I had long been aware of the curativo powera of eleetricily fïom what I had read en the subject, and on niy return to England I purchased f rora Pulvenna'cher of Regent street; London, the combined chain bands, of which patentee, for which I paid three guineas, and . although I must admit that I dcrived some benefit from their use, I am bound to ssiy tlie general result did not approach tho beneiit derived from the use of the Owen Belt, besides which its utility is bo great an Improvement in comfort and convenience; Pulvermachers' being cumbersome and complicated in adjusting to the body, besides causing from being uncovered, blisters and sores, and above all not being able to regúlate the current as is the case in the Owen Electric Belt. You are at perfect liberty to make what use you think fit of thls letter, and I shall be glad to answer either verbally or by letter any Inquiry made from me on thls subject. I am, gentlemen, Yours respectfully, W. J. BEODIE.
