During tlie next few days the tnemlers of the Needlework GuiUl will be busy making and collecting garmenls for distribution at the animal meeting on Xov. 15th. This work appealf- in an unusual way to all classes of people, t o the wealthy wlio are .able and ready to help the needy, and to those of less means may l:e m en more capable of judging o[ the i.eeds of the poor aiuï quito as willing "to lend a hepling handT Many touching incidcnts have come tu the attention of the officers of ccntributions made by the aged and irfirm, tvIio testiiied to the pleasure it gave them. The only condition of membershlp is the gift of two new garments. The list as provided by the Parent Gulld at riiiladelphia, is long and includes eery article used in a íamily. About 100 families were made more romfortable by the contribution oí v arm garments last year. The organization with a membersbip of 450, proves that it has the sympathy of the masses. The enthusias-ni exhibited and delight in the work eidences tlie brotherly feeling strong in the hearts of the people. The cheerful giving has been a remarkable feature of this work. Tlie responses to invitations to give have not only l.ceu hoarty but people without solicitation have expressed a desire to become menibers and help in the "u ork. The officers wish to assure those !nlerested that every possible care will be taken in the distribution and they ptücit names of needy persons -vvUh cce.i and wants, to be handed to Mrs. I'erry during the next ten days - not kiter. IT Is POR YOU TO ACT. Xow is the time 'tö see' to it that the proper persons receive attention anc let no individual delay resppnsibllity in this matter and wonder why siicli persons were neglected. Every citizen may consider himself a committee of one to report names of needy persons.
