The Thomas Orchestra

Theodore Thoma's Orcliestra opens the season here Nov. 19th, and the following is the PROGRAM. 1. Oyerture and Bream Music. Humperdink From "Hansel aud Gretel." 2. Symphony A major No. 7. Beethoven 8. Overture"Genoura." Schumanu 4. Sympbonic Variations. Drovak 5. -'Larka" Symphonic Poem. Linetana This program representa a combination of various schools, including as it does, the selections from the latest European successes in the line of Opera. The symphony is one of the most interesting of the whole orchestral reportoire. Drovak by reason of eonnection with the national conservatory, and lus championship of American music has become an important factor in our national musical life. The variatious illustrate the brilliancy of his gifts and his wonderful command over orchestral resources. ■ -
