Build The South Wing
A prominent citizen and one very nmch int-erested in the success and ■nelíare ot our public schools, said to thc writer, ■ a day or two since : ' ín my opinión, the most sensible tliing íor this school district to do is to build a wingí upon the south side of the high school building and have it devoted entirely to school and recitation rooms. In thia way tho entire 7th and 8th grades, belonging to the grammar department coulC be accommodated in this centra! building, as they should be, and the ward schools thus reüeved. "'Besides relieving the ward schools anc! providing room that is absolutenocessary, it would be an ornament to the central building, relieving it of its present one-sided effect. "What do you think about it?" ho asked. JCot being preparod to anewer, but remarking thab the idea certainly seemed a very sensible one, ve lay the proposition before our readers for what it is worth. But is it not a sensible proposition ?
