The regents met at 11 a. m. yesterday and were in session all day. ïreasurer Soule's annual report was the first thing heard. The following is a general sumraary of the report: Receipts- Balance in treasury July 1, 1S94, ?14, 731.34; from gfate treasorer, special appropriatious, $6,000; from state treasurer, current expenses, ?225,722.3C; from eamings, mlsoellaneous sources, ?163,C39.17; total, $440,146.87. Disbursements- From special funda account, $68,092.91; general ftmd account, $305,539.01; balance in treasury June 30, 1895, $5,9:1 t.95. From the one-sixtli niill tax the versíty received $188,333.31; f rom interest oa funda due from the state, $37,389.05, a total from the state of $225,722.3G. The University Hospital net earaiings amounted to ?5,000. From the summer school, the university cleaxed ?2,01G. The total students' fees received by the University during the year, including tuition, matriculation and laboratory fees, is $147,5-15.31. Prof. Worcester gave a report of a visit to a number of eastom museums and was given a vote of thanks by the board. Elghteen students wbo liave not paid their dúos werè reixtrted. They were not formally dropped, but the rule to that effect was emphas7,ed. The degree of B. L. was granted Margaret L. Paine, '95. Fréderlck Moore was given M. I). Class of '95. The following .ppointments avci-c made: Robert McGregor, ir. I).. '95, assistant to Dr. Herdman, salary $300; .Toseph Clark, superintendent of the University Hospital, ffl.GOO; A. H. Walker, Boston, lecturer on patent law. vice George H. Latlirop, resigned. The art gallery was ordered kept open two hours per day, every day in the week. $100 was granted for furniture to be used in the womeu's reading room.
