Malay Camphor. Dryobalanops Camphora. This species of camphor is produced from a tree growing in Sumatra, iiorneo, and the Malay Península, and is known as Malay Camphor. It ia seereted naturally in crysta'l'.ne masses and Iodged in cavities in the wood. It is whitish, transluceut, sromewhat unctuous to the touch, very vo'atile, and its odor is strong and fragranté One of the strongest properties of ilie Malay Camphor, as well as that oí all otiier camphors, is their strong sedativo power, and they are all oí great power in allaying irritation and re'ieving pain.
