Mr. Walker Believes in the Germ Theory. Louisvlile, Ky., Jan. 10, '9C. To the Editor : "I read with a great deal of interest in your columns the letter of Mr. Poster; of Port Huron, Mich., ia whlch ht states that a French cjiemist nearly fifty years ago, adoptetl the theory that disease is caused by external or internal parasites, especially Catarrh. I have always been a gréat believer in the "'germ" theory of disease and have also always belfeved there was nothing like, even common cumphor, that ivould a3 kill these germs. That Pretzinger-s Catarrh Balm carries a quantity of camphors is patent to anyone -no smells it. I héarti'y endorse everything Mr. Foster has to say as to thte remedy. it is anlversaJly used here in Kentucky by the best families and it Is a household remedy. ifc certainly cnro.s ;i common case of cold over night. Mrs. AYalker had a ver.v aggravated case of Catarrh, the muoous at night -vould drop down into the throat and nearly strangle her. These attocks sometimes lasted an hour. The first do.-e of Prezinger's relieved instantly and permitted sleep. lts efiects were like broithing into.the nostiils the breath of lire." Chas. L. "Walker, 4th & Chestnut.
