On Friday last, there passed away one oï t'he old residents of our city, mil a man who was ripe in years, Henry W. Ban:ie]d. who was 87 years 3 montlis and 8 dayts old. His death was caused by an attack of inflammatiom of the lungs. The deceased liad been a resident resident of this city since 1847, and lie had by his industry and good habite, earned the respect of those wifch wbom he carne in contact. Ho was a native oí the Isle of Guerasey, i nthe English channtl, his párente being English people. He subsequently xesided on the Isle of Jersey, im Brlghton and in London. Ho married Miss Francés Allen In Brighbom, Eng., and survived her l.y four years. There are two sons and four daugMers living, all married and settled in liie : Paris S., Willard S., and Mrs. Matilda Perrine, of thisoiiy; Jtirs. Harreit Richardson, of Charlotte, Mrs. Blanche Chamberlain of Vineland. N. J., and Mrs. Einrna Rlcketts, of St. Paul, Minn. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock, from the residence No. 98 N. Main st., Eev. T. W. Youn of the Baptist church, conductlc the same. Uurial in Forest HUI cemetery.
