Where He Would Live

Sir Arthur Sullivan was himself in Berlin to assist at the first performance of his "Ivauhoe" at theRoyal Opera recently. While bewas there he met Mascagni at a dinner given iu honor oi the two illustrious guests of musical Berliu. "In which of the European capitals would you soonest live?" asked Sir Arthur, and Mascagni's reply was rather perplexing, "I would live f rom 9 to 11 a. m. at London, from 11 to 5 at Paris, from 5 to 7 at Vienna, from 7 to 10 at Budapest, and af ter 10 at Berlín."
