The Aeolian attachmeut, which is to be placed in the Columbian organ next Friday evening, will bring fortli from the organ the greatest volume of music íhat has ever been heard from it. Orla D. Allen, the organist of the First Presbyterian in Detroit, will manipúlate the stops and pedáis. The invention is uot intended to do away with organists nor to interfere in the slightest degree with their vocation, but for concert purposes the Aeolian filis an important and useiul field. The rolls for these instrumeuts are arranged from the full orchesiral scores and from this it can be understood that it would be bevond the abilities of an organist to handle the srgan as does this devke ; there being at times in au instrumeut of this size the equivalent of sixty keys depressed and over one thousand pipes speaking.
