Uhfi Adrián Tress some times expresses decided views on matters and ttoings. Here is au tnstance : "Miss vSparrow, of La.nsing, has last hr oase in the supreme coui't, and anust go to tlie msone asylum on tfhie rerd'iot of thte jury, rendered at Masón isome time siaice. It is a most damnable outrage, however, and is as clear a case of perversión of justice aa we bave ever heard about. Tlie wioman is nlot half so daft, as the memters of the Jury which sent her tinere. The eupreme court holds that' tlhere is no appeal however f rom the trial jury. But the Bupreme court should direct a writ of habeas corpus from tikat body, and bring the matter to a hearing before themselves. It is a case of human liberty. Heil. would be disgraced by the admission tlhere, of those who have done this ontrage to the woman."
